The new filter bar in Excire Foto 2027 includes a field called "Text filter" with the setting "Content". It lets you search your photos by simply typing a description – results appear instantly in the gallery, where you can apply additional filters as needed.

How the Text filter behaves depending on your input:

• If you enter a phrase (e.g. "sunset over the ocean"), Excire Foto uses its AI-powered free-text search in the background. The AI analyzes the content of your photos and returns images that match your description – regardless of whether those photos contain specific keywords.
• If you enter a single word (e.g. "beach"), Excire Foto automatically switches to keyword search instead. This looks for the entered term in your photos' metadata and assigned keywords.

You don't need to choose between these modes manually – Excire Foto selects the appropriate search method automatically based on what you type.

Tip: For descriptive, content-based searches (e.g. "people eating outdoors" or "peaceful winter landscape"), entering a phrase delivers the best results, as the AI evaluates the overall image content.
