How do I transfer keywords from a local database to a database in the network?
If you have already tagged photos in your local database, you do not need to tag them again when importing them into a new database in the network if you follow the steps below.
1. save your metadata in the photos from the local database. You can do this using the "Save metadata" function. To do this, simply select your photos beforehand and then select the corresponding function from the menu. You have then added your metadata to your photos.
2. if you now import these photos into the network database again, the metadata will be loaded automatically when you add them.
Please note: If you have assigned manual keywords, you must first activate the "Load keywords from photos" option in the settings (-> "Metadata" tab).
If the photos are already contained in the network database but have not yet been assigned the manual keywords from the local database, select the photos and then call up the "Load metadata" function. This will add the saved metadata to the photos.
Manually assigned keywords and other metadata are then also available for the photos in the Office Edition.
"Excire Foto" and "Excire Foto Office Edition" are independent products with different databases that are not directly compatible with each other. The procedure described above is therefore also necessary when transferring keywords from a single-user version of Excire Foto.
