How can I make automatically assigned keywords visible in Lightroom?
Excire Search automatically creates keywords during the first initialization and stores them in its own Excire database for future searches.
In order to be able to use the keywords in the normal Lightroom keyword search, the keywords must be transferred to the Lightroom database.
This is possible in several ways:
Via the menu command "Library" -> " Plug-in Extras" -> "Transfer Keywords". Here, individual or multiple photos can be marked and their keywords individually selected and transferred to your Lightroom catalog.
Via the menu command "Library" -> " Plug-in Extras" -> "Transfer Keywords - Batched". This starts the transfer for several or all photos in the database collectively.
When initializing photos via the menu command "Library" -> " Plug-in Extras" -> "Initialize Photos". The option "Transfer keywords after initialization" can be activated here. For each newly initialized photo, the keywords recognized by Excire Search for the photo are now transferred to the Lightroom catalog. Please note: This setting only affects photos that are reinitialized after activation. For photos that have already been initialized, one of the first two options must be selected.
Automatically via the setting in the "File" -> " Plug-in Manager" menu. Here you can activate the option "Initialize photos on import" together with the option "Transfer keywords during import". Photos that are newly imported into the Lightroom catalog are automatically initialized and their keywords recognized by Excire Search are transferred to the Lightroom catalog. Please note: This setting only affects photos that are added after activation. One of the first two options must be selected for photos that have already been initialized.
With options 2, 3 and 4, it is also possible to exclude certain keywords from the transfer. To do this, these keywords are moved to the right-hand side of the "Transfer Keywords - Batched" function window. This list on the right-hand side is saved for later transfers. These are the keywords to be ignored. Both in the "Initialize Photos" function and in the options for automatic initialization during import (in the Plug-in Manager), the option "Transfer keywords using last 'ignored keywords' settings" can now be activated to take this list into account.
The keywords transferred by Excire Search to the Lightroom catalog are created within the parent keyword "Excire 2024 (de)" (other languages analogous, e.g. "Excire 2024 (en)" for English). In this way, they are separate from your own keywords.
