We have two different products on offer:
1. Excire Foto, our standalone version, which offers additional features such as Excire Analytics.
2. Excire Search, our plugin for Lightroom Classic, which integrates automatic keywording and advanced search features into Adobe Lightroom.
Both products are independent of each other and each also uses its own database.
From within Excire Foto, you can right-click on "Open with..." to open a photo with any other image-editing program, as long as it supports this feature.
So you are free to decide which program suits your workflow better.
Excire Foto is the right choice if:
You are looking for a powerful photo management software. We, and the majority of our customers, are thrilled with Excire Foto and can fully recommend the software to any photographer: Manage your images with Excire Foto and use your favorite program to edit them. Keywords assigned by Excire Foto can be saved in the photos or XMP files.
XMP files so that they can also be used in Windows or Mac Spotlight search. In Capture One, this metadata can also be read in, so die-hard Capture One users can also benefit from the Excire AI. More workflows can be found in the Excire Foto manual and tutorials.
Excire Search (Lightroom Plugin) is the right if:
Adobe Lightroom Classic is your default photo management software and you don't want to use any other software. Our Lightroom Classic Plugin "Excire Search" is fully integrated into Lightroom Classic. You then have all the info together that you need for management and in Lightroom Classic can finally also metadata in photos or XMP files are stored.
The functionalities are almost identical in both products. Note, however, that the databases of the two products are independent of each other and the images must be initialized for both.
It is best to try both to find out if you would rather use Excire Foto or the plugin. Many customers opt for the low-cost bundle for more flexibility.
